How To Lose Weight With PCOS

Are you like me and your trying to lose weight while having PCOS ? I'm sure we are all familiar to the fact that losing weight can be pretty difficult. Between the cravings and the temptations the odds of failure are pretty high. There are a few things you can do.

Let me first say that I am not a Dr., Hell... I'm not even skinny LOL . But I am trying to losing weight and I  have advice if any one wants it. And If you have advice for me, then that would be great too. So here are a few steps you can take to help you on your way to weight loss. This is an audio of   a  few little things I eat in order to lose weight.

Things you should eat :

 For Breakfast You Should Have 
  • Healthy Cerial
  • Oatmeal (Not Instant) 
  • Yogurt and Fruit 

Don't Forget Your Snack
  • Peanuts (Unsalted) 
  • Yogurt
  • Raisins
  • Fresh Fruit (Not Canned)
  • Granola Bars
  • Unsalted Nuts

Dinner Time Meal
  • Grilled Chicken Breast 
  • Fish
  • White or Brown Rice
  • Veggies (Fresh not Canned)
  • Fruits
  • Lean Ground Beef
  • Low Sodium Tuna Canned Fish


    1. I too am on a weight loss journey with PCOS. I'm not trying to get pregnant at the moment, but I know that I will want to some day and losing weight is something that I definitely needed to do. In addition to your diet tips I wanted to mention eating protein with every meal. I found an awesome personal trainer in September and have had great success losing weight with the diet he recommended.

      You already mentioned some of the key points, like eating every 2-4 hours, but I wanted to add that eating protein with every meal is essential. Instead of just having cereal/oatmeal for breakfast, you should have it with one or two eggs as well. My meals usually look something like this:

      Meal 1 - Oatmeal, 2 Eggs
      Meal 2 - 1/2 chicken breast, brown rice
      Meal 3 - 1/2 turkey sandwich with lite mayo
      Meal 4 - Protein Shake and a granola bar
      Meal 5 - Chicken breast and broccoli
      Meal 6 - Can of tuna with lite mayo

      Your right about that, what u just said reminds me so much of what I use to do on this program I was on. It is important to have protein with every meal... but some time I try to pick something simple to eat as I'm going out on my day.

      I'm going to do that though, try to increase my protien intake.
